FCC Warning Statement
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a class B digital
device pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This
equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and
used in accordance with the instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a
particular installation. If the equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or
television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment on and off, the user
is encouraged to try and correct the interference by one or more of the following
suggestions.
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna
Increase the distance between the equipment and the receiver
Connect the equipment to a different power outlet other than the one where receiver is
connected
Consult a certified television or radio technician
Software Installation
Windows Driver Installation
Note: The first time you plug in the AD2N1GPX4 adapter in your system, cancel
all operating system attempts to install the driver automatically.
If the driver installation is cancelled, the adapter will not be detected during
installation by the operating system and the adapter is installed as "Ethernet
Controller" under Other Devices in Device Manager
To install the driver you have to perform a driver update as described in the next
section.
Updating the driver
To update the driver, proceed as follows:
1.
On the desktop right click on My Computer icon.
2.
Select Manage.
3.
In the "Device Manager," select the unknown Ethernet Controller.
4.
Do a right click on the mouse, select Update Driver.
5.
Follow the Hardware installation wizard and point to the location of the driver
(Driver CD:\Drivers\Ethernet
Drivers\AD2N1GPX4\Marvell_Yukon\Windows\..)
6.
If a message is displayed saying that the driver is not digitally signed by
Microsoft, click YES.
7.
The message "Windows has finished installing the software for this device"
is displayed.
8.
Click FINISH to complete the installation.
Please note that the latest version of the YK51X86 driver is available for
download from our web site.
Verifying the installation
To verify the instructions
1.
On the desktop right click on My Computer icon.
2.
Select Manage.
3.
In the "Device Manager," select the Network adapter. If there is no yellow "!"
or "?" in front of "Marvell Yukon 88E8062 PCI-E IPMI Gigabit Ethernet
Controller", the driver has started correctly.
