This distress signal includes:
• Current GNSS position information
• Current COG and SOG
• Text message "MOB ACTIVE"
• Unique serial number of the device (MMSI)
• Navigational Status 14 (AIS Search and Rescue
Transmitter active)
Usually the easyONE-DSC
as a circle symbol on the electronic display / chart
(System update of display / chart may be necessary):
On earlier systems, it appears as a ship symbol
The 9-digit "Unit-ID" (MMSI) of the easyONE-DSC
ginning with "972...." and a safety Message (SRM) "MOB
ACTIVE" are displayed and an audible and/or visual alarm is
triggered, respectively.
DSC Closed Loop
Within seconds after the activation a first DSC alerting of all
pre-programmed MMSI numbers is send out in closed loop
mode. This transmission contains the unit ID of the distress
transmitter, but no position information details because
there is still no fix with the satellite.
