Precautions for placement and use

• The operating temperature should be between 0°C and
40°C (32°F and 104°F).
• Do not install in the following types of places. Doing so
could degrade the sound quality and/or cause malfunctions.
• Places with significant vibrations or that are otherwise
unstable
• Near windows or other places exposed to direct sunlight
• Near heaters or other extremely hot places
• Extremely cold places
• Places with bad ventilation or high humidity
• Very dusty locations
• In order to assure good heat dissipation, do not place any
object on top of the unit.
• Do not place the unit on top of a pre-main amplifier, power
amplifier or other device that generates heat.

Power supply

Connect the unit to the standard power outlet. Hold the plug
when connecting and disconnecting the power cord.
1 – Introduction

Beware of condensation

If the unit is moved from a cold to a warm place, or used
immediately after a cold room has been heated or otherwise
exposed to a sudden temperature change, condensation could
occur. Should this happen, leave the unit for one or two hours
before turning the unit on.

Maintenance

Wipe dirt from the top cover and other panel surfaces using
a soft cloth that has been slightly dampened with a diluted
neutral cleanser.
Do not wipe with chemical cleaning cloths, thinner or other
chemical agents. Doing so could damage the surface.

For your safety, disconnect the power cord from
the outlet before cleaning.
Editing software for high-resolution
audio files available for free
By using the TEAC Hi-Res Editor software for editing high-
resolution audio files, you can edit files recorded by this unit
even more easily.
With support for audio files with high resolutions up to 11.2MHz
DSD and 384kHz/32-bit PCM, this free software application
can convert files between DSD and PCM formats and different
sampling frequencies, for example. In addition to offering basic
editing functions such as dividing and joining files, it allows you
to set in and out points directly while looking at the waveform
on screen in order to designate intervals that can be converted
and saved.
