Notes :
-
Creating a route is only possible if at least 1 waypoint is available in the instrument.
-
Creating a waypoint requires a name, its GPS coordinates, and its altitude. The
altitude is not mandatory, but is required to display the "glide ratio to waypoint" item.
-
If you already have a waypoints file, it is possible to send this file with the
SYS PC Tool by clicking the "Send a file to the instrument" icon. Using
GPSDump software (above version 5.20) is also an alternate solution.
GPSDump supports more waypoints file formats, and handles waypoints
more efficiently.
-
To create a route from the instrument proceed as follows:
1)
The first step is to give your route a name.
2)
When selecting the first waypoint, you can choose either a classic one (Waypoint) or a "START
IN / START OUT" waypoint (for competition: You must be IN the cylinder before the specified
time (IN), or OUT of the cylinder after the specified time (OUT)).
3)
When selecting waypoints you can define a radius (default 400 m according to FAI rules) as well
as an altitude (optional) for the calculation of the glide ratio item to the waypoint.
4)
You can, if you wish for the last waypoint insert a "GOAL CYLINDER" integrating in addition to a
classic waypoint the maximum arrival time, or a "GOAL LINE" which will be a perpendicular finish
line to the defined route, or finally a " CONICAL GOAL ".
Click "END ROUTE" when finished. The route is ready to be loaded.
