When your subject is not in the center of your composition, compose
your photo after focusing. (Focus-lock)
Example: Taking a photograph of the castle in the background
with the camera focused on a person in front.

To turn the power on, slide the power switch to open the
lens cover.

Turn the Mode Selector to 5

Put the subject of your photo right
in the center of the LCD Monitor or
the Viewfinder and press the
shutter button half-way.
