Record is dirty.
Stylus is dirty.
Stylus is improperly
installed.
Stylus is worn.

and turntable is connected
to receiver's/amplifier's
low-level phono input
jacks.
Stylus is improperly
installed.
Turntable is picking up
induction hum from other
components.

Turntable is picking up
sound pressure of vibra-
tions from speakers.
Suggestion
Clean the record.
Clean the stylus with a
soft brush (See "Cleaning/
Replacing the Stylus" on
Page 13).
Check the stylus and rein-
stall it if necessary.
Replace the stylus.
Set

Check the stylus and rein-

Check ground terminal
and reposition the turnta-
ble away from other com-
ponents.
