3.8.1 Operation
The user application can run on Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7. After
installing the application, run the application, and you will see the following
main window.
If the application can not establish communication with the recorder, it will
show an error message box, and the Find button will flash. Please check for the
following:
• The recorder is connected to a serial port on the PC.
• The recorder is turned on and is operating normally.
• Go to the Settings menu and check the COM port number. Make sure you are
using the right COM port on your PC.
• Click the Find button, and the program should be able to establish
communication. The Find button will change to Go.
Click the Go button, and the program will start to receive data from the recorder.
The main window shows the two channels in real time. The digital displays
update every 2 seconds. The main window shows the following:
• Digital display and line graph of the two channels in real time.
• High & Low alarm lines and set point values for the two channels.
• High & Low alarm LED indicators for the two channels to show alarm condition.
