Installation Limitations for VMware
For VMware environment, PCI cards have limitations as for the number of the cards to be installed, depending
on the combination of the PCI cards. Please refer below for the details.
(1) VMware ESXi6.5 (including update)
A. Limitation of VMware ESXi6.5

LAN Boards
1Gb: max. 16 ports
10Gb: max. 8 ports
Combination of 1Gb and 10Gb: max. 8 ports for 10Gb and max. 4 ports for 1Gb
II.
FC Controllers
8Gb/16Gb: Max. 8 cards in total and max. 16 ports in total

*3 NE3304-142 SAS Controller (6Gb/s,12Gb/s) not supported for VMware environment.
