General operation

Connecting the power supply

1. Plug the female end of the power cable supplied into the Power connector on
the rear of the player.
2. Plug the male end of the cord into an AC outlet.

Turning on the power

Be sure that audio and video output has been well connected to your TV.

Choose the available AV input connection on your TV set to connect to the DVD

player.
Press the POWER ON/OFF button on the front panel to turn on the player.

Loading discs

Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the front of the player, the disc tray opens.

Load your chosen disc in the tray with label side up (also when a double sided
DVD is inserted). Make sure the disc is placed properly in the correct recess.

Press OPEN/CLOSE button to close the tray, then the disc will be playbacked
automatically.
NOTE:
- If the system of your TV set does't accord with that of the DVD player, the
picture will not display normally. If so, open the tray and then press the
ZOOM key to force the sysem to adapt your TV set. After that you can
enjoy DVD.

Option between component video and S-Video

You can only choose S-Video or Component Video Connection between DVD

player and TV set.
At OPEN mode, press the SLOW BACKWARD key, then choose one available

setting (please refer to the chapter [Video Connection] at page 10 for details)
and meanwhile, " CVBS+ SVIDEO" or " YCbCr" is appeared on screen.
The DVD player will execute the corresponding setup automatically.

NOTE:
- The simultaneous connection of component video and S-Video is not al-
lowable.
- If the operation cause some image distortion, maybe the video connection
does't accord with the setting. If so, press the SLOW BACKWARD key again
to revert.

Remote control battery installation

Open the battery compartment cover.

Insert two batteries inside the battery compartment.
Close the cover.

CAUTION:
- Don't mix old and new batteries. Never mix different types of batter-
ies (standard, alkaline, etc.)

Remote control operation

Unless especially stated, all operations can be performed by the remote control.

Always point the remote control directly at the player, making sure there are no
obstructions between the remote and the player.

Corresponding keys on the front panel of the player can also be used.
