Changing the back-up battery
1. Disconnect the mains cable from the clock.
2. Unscrew the four corner screws on the rear of the clock.
3. Pull out and remove the alarm set knob.
4. Carefully lift off the clock's rear cover so that you do not damage the cables.
5. Undo the 9 volt battery from the Velcro and disconnect the snap connector.
6. Connect the new battery in the same manner.
NOTE: Remember to reconnect the mains cable to the clock so that the green LED on the clock
face lights up.
Troubleshooting
Type of fault
The clock has stopped.
The under-pillow vibra-
tor is not working.
The clock does not ring.
Cleaning and maintenance
Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush to clean the product on the outside. Use a damp cloth to wipe it on the
outside. Never use cleaning products or solvents. From time to time check that the cables and connections are intact.
The batteries last for at least 3 years. The back-up battery should always be changed once a year to ensure the clock
will operate if there is a power failure.
Repairs
If your product malfunctions, it must be repaired by a qualified technician. If your product requires service, please
contact your hearing care professional for assistance.

This product contains electrical or electronic equipment and should be disposed of carefully in the interest
of your safety and the environment. Please contact your local hearing care professional concerning disposal
of the product.
General precautions
• The back-up battery should always be changed once a year to ensure the clock will operate if there is a power failure.
• Radiation from low-emitting equipment (burglar alarms, room surveillance systems, radio equipment, mobile
telephones, etc) will not damage the device.
• Warning: External devices connected to the product must be safe according the requirements of EN 60601-1-1,
EN 60335-1 or EN 60065, as appropriate.
Cause
Flat battery.
1. The under-pillow vibrator is not
connected to the clock.
2. The mains lead is not connected
and the back-up battery is flat.
The clock's alarm is set to OFF.
Action
Replace the old battery with a new 1.5 volt
Size C battery.
1. Connect the under-pillow vibrator to the
clock.
2. Insert the mains cable and immediately
change the back-up battery.
Set the clock's alarm to ON.
