Access to internal detector components
ASM 182 TD+
Switch the detector off before opening it.
Disconnect the line power plug, the RS 232 connector, the
printer and the input/output interface if they are connected to
an external element (to avoid obtaining "external" voltages on
the various ASM 182 boards).
The front and rear covers are secured with 4 recessed screws.
Unfasten the 4 securing screws and their washers using a
5
5 mm Allen wrench. Use the 5 mm Allen wrench you find in
the "Maintenance kit".
Front cover:
After unfastening the 4 screws, raise the cover (1) slightly and
pivot it forwards until it comes to a stop (2).
Using this system, the cover can be kept 3/4 open.
Rear cover:
When opening the rear cover, take care with the ground
connection linking the frame to the cover.
If necessary, remove the front cover and/or the rear cover.
For the rear cover, you need before frese the rocker bar from
the frame.

Note: A hinge system is provided on the ASM182 TD+ for
the rear cover.
