    Basic item components Headboard Installing headboard Lift the headboard, slide the cleat (A) into frame slot, and tighten the cleat knob (B) (see Figure 7a). Installing head support blocks 1. Loosen two knobs on the head support adjusting clamp (C). Figure 7a 2.

    Footboard Installing sandals Either large or medium sandals can be mounted to the footboard. 1. Insert carriage bolts with bushings through the bottom of the footboard. 2. Insert sandal base onto bolts and adjust sandal before tightening knobs (A) securely (see Figure 8a). Figure 8a 3.

    Small Supine Stander mainboard (E420) Adjusting the mainboard Board The hand crank (A) controls the transfer angle label height adjustment and the tilt angle of the mainboard. By turning the crank, the board will begin to tilt. Continue to turn the crank until the desired angle is reached (see Figure 9a).
  • Page 10 Adjusting hip strap It is possible to place the hip strap (A) in line with the lateral support block. Simply loosen the clamp knobs enough to allow the hip strap bracket to lie on top of the lateral support block. Then tighten clamp knobs securely.

    Large Supine Stander mainboard (E430) Adjusting the mainboard Board angle label The hand crank (A) controls transfer height adjustment and the tilt angle of the mainboard. By turning the crank, the board will move horizontally from 21" to 30" and then begin to tilt. Continue to turn hand crank until desired angle is reached (see FIgure 11a).
  • Page 12 Adjusting the hip strap It is possible to place the hip strap (A) in line with the lateral support block. Simply loosen the clamp knobs enough to allow the hip strap bracket to lie on top of the lateral support block. Then tighten the clamp knobs securely.

    Accessories Tray Installing the tray A clear or opaque tray may be fi tted to the armrests. Position both armrests at the same height and angle. Attach tray by Figure 13a inserting the tray latches into appropriate armrest holes. Adjusting the tray The tray can be adjusted in and out by opening the tray latches and moving them to a different set of holes in the armrests.

    Adjustable abduction wedge Installing Remove the knobs and one washer off each threaded stud. 1. Place abduction wedge in appropriate slot with one washer on each threaded stud between wedge and the Stander. 2. Put one washer on each of the threaded studs between knobs and Stander.

    Operation 1. Lock all four Casters. 2. Crank the Supine Stander to desired horizontal height for ease of transfer. 3. Slide the armrest and the lateral support block away from the transfer area. Open the chest, hip and knee straps. Make sure that both the headboard and footboard are in place before transferring the user.

    Remove the Supine Stander from service when any condition develops that might make operation unsafe. Please contact the Rifton Customer Service Department for advice. Cleaning Clean the Supine Stander, pads, and straps with mild detergent and water. Do not use excessive water on padded blocks.

    Materials • Steel hardware items (nuts, bolts, screws, etc) are typically zinc or nickel plated, or stainless steel. • Upholstery items (pads, support blocks, padded prompts, etc) are typically fi re-retardant polyurethane foam with a fi re-retardant cover made from expanded vinyl.
