- www.antrax.de Connection and Initial Operation 1. Insert the plug of the AC power cord into an electrical outlet. The MultiBox-LAN will boot and is ready in a few moments. 2. Connect your network with the network connection of the MultiBox-LAN.
After switch-on the MultiBox-LAN looks for a DHCP server and requests an available IP address. Please check the IP address allocated to MultiBox-LAN in the DHCP server settings to make sure that the same address is used at every reboot. To turn OFF DHCP please use the software GBL_Conf.exe or use configuration via the web interface.
The new network configuration is now displayed. Configuration via web interface Go to the website of MultiBox-LAN. Enter the IP address of MultiBox-LAN into the address line of your internet browser: http://"IP address of MultiBox-LAN"/ and press LOGIN.. To enter the configuration menu, click on "Configuration" on the upper left side of the screen.
Datentechnik GmbH info@antrax.de - www.antrax.de Configuration - Power Ports Label A name with a maximum of 15 characters can be entered here for each Power Port. After power-up switch The Power Port’s switching state after a power-on of the device can be defined here (on, off, remember last state).
Datentechnik GmbH info@antrax.de - www.antrax.de Watchdog Funktion While using the watchdog, electrical devices can be observed. The watchdog sends ICMP-pings or TCP-pings to the device. If these pings were not answered, during a defined delay (time or pings), the power port will reset. The watchdog function allows to restart e.g. crashed servers or NAS systems.
Here you can set, if the MultiBox-LAN shall get its TCP/IP settings directly from your DHCP server. If DHCP is activated, the MultiBox-LAN checks if a DHCP server is active inside of your LAN. Thenthe MultiBox-LAN requests TCP/IP settings from this server. If there is no DHCP server inside of your network, we recommend to deactivate this function.
Here you can set, if the MultiBox-LAN shell react on pings. Enable IP Filter Here you can activate the IP Access Control List (IP ACL) of the MultiBox-LAN. If IP ACL is active, DHCP and SNMP only work, if all necessary servers and clients are registered in this list.
- www.antrax.de IP Access Control List IP Access Control List (IP ACL) acts as an IP filter for your MultiBox-LAN. Wether it is active hosts and subnets only can contact the MultiBox-LAN, if their IP adresses are stated in this IP ACL.
Password protected access can be activated here. In this case, a user and an admin password have to be defined. Passwords have a maximum lengths of 15 characters. Administrators are authorized to switch all ports and to modify the settings of the MultiBox-LAN and of all ports. The username of the admin is "admin".
- www.antrax.de Configuration - Alarm Beeper Activate Beeper The MultiBox-LAN offers as an internal beeper that can be used for acoustic alarm messages. Here you can activate the beeper.. Ampere limit Here you can set the limit for the current at which the beeper shall be activated.
Here you can set over what time period peak flows shall be recorded: 30 minutes to 24 hours. This is also valid for the min/max display of the sensors. Generate Temperature Messages Here you can configure if and at which min-/max temperature the MultiBox-LAN shall send temperature alerts via SNMP-Traps and Syslog. Max Temperature Here you can define the maximum temperature, if the sensor measures this temperature the device will generate an alert via SNMP and Syslog.
Here you can download the MIBs of the MultiBox-LAN. SNMP To get detailed status information of MultiBox-LAN SNMP can be used. SNMP communicates via UDP (port 161) with MultiBox-LAN: You can use SNMP to switch the power ports as well. Supported SNMP commands: - SNMPGET :...
All information, that can be requested or changed, the so-called "Managed Objects", are descripted in "Management Information Bases" (MIBs). There are three MIBs, which can be requested from MultiBox-LAN "system", "interface" and "powerports" "system" and "interface" are standardised MIBs (MIB-II).
Trap Version Here you can choose between SNMP-traps standard v1 and v2c. Use SNMP only if your network is fitted for. More information about the SNMP functions of the MultiBox-LAN, you can find in chapter SNMP. - 20 - Hasenbrink 4, 32052 Herford, Germany Tel. +49 (0) 5221 929660 Fax +49 (0) 5221 9296628...
If Syslog is active please enter the port number, that your Syslog server uses to receive syslog information. More information operating the MultiBox-LAN with Syslog here: Syslog. Syslog Syslog messages are simple text messages transmitted to a syslog server using UDP.
If the e-mail server requires authentification, please select this function. Username Enter the username that shall be used by the MultiBox-LAN to connect to the e-mail server. Set new password Enter the password, that shall be used to log-in to the e-mail server.
Operation Switching at the device The MultiBox-LAN has two push-buttons: "select" and "ok". By pushing "select", the LED of Power Port 1 starts blinking which means that it is selected. By pushing the button again, the next Power Port is selected. If you want to change the switching state of the selected Power Port, push the "ok"...
