    Your URC-9040 requires 2 new “AAA/LR03” alkaline batteries. 1 1 . . Remove the battery cover from the back of your URC-9040 by pressing down on the tab. 2 2 . . Match the batteries to the + and - marks inside the battery case, then insert the batteries.

In doing this, the information needed for your device is transferred through the telephone into your URC-9040 Remote in a matter of seconds.
