The St. Jude Medical Merlin@home EX1150W key does not have a permanent light indicator. It is normal for the red and blue lights to only be on for a few seconds during power connection.

This EX1150 unit I have ... what do the buttons on the front mean. Can I manually send info if I feel I need to?. Can I force the transmitter to read my Pacemaker and then send?

The buttons on the Merlin@home EX1150W unit include a Start button and a Reset button. The Start button is used during the reset process. You press and hold it while pressing and releasing the Reset button to reset the transmitter. This is typically done when you receive a new implant and are instructed to reset the unit by your clinic or technical support.

There is no information indicating that you can manually send information from the EX1150W unit. The transmitter automatically reads and sends data from your implanted device to the clinic during a Merlin@home session.

Where do I get a wireless set up kit? I use Tracfone (pay as you go) and am not sure I can use that cellular transmitter. I have Xfinity wireless. (The Comcast phone lines are VOIP so that won't work as per the manual. So, I think I need to use a wireless kit

Your St. Jude Medical Merlin@home EX1150W transmitter may be beeping continuously because it is experiencing a communication error. The transmitter automatically monitors and recovers from most errors, but if wireless Quality of Service (QoS) is inadequate, it may display an error indication and retry communication. To troubleshoot:

- Re-orient the transmitter.
- Minimize objects or people between the transmitter and the patient.
- Avoid holding the transmitter.
- Move away from or turn off equipment that may generate electromagnetic interference or strong magnetic fields.

If the issue persists, consult the user manual or contact technical support.
