Pump Regulator Back-up Function.
( Except SK160/ED190 )
Hydraulic Back-up
• If "MECHATRO CONT. FAIL" or "STEP
MOTOR S/PT. ERROR" are displayed on
the machine's gauge cluster multidisplay, the
machine cannot be operated normally or
electronic or physical failure of the pump
proportional solenoids PSV-1 & PSV-1
Hydraulic Backup function will have to be
engaged.
• The machine is equipped with back-up function
to actuate the hydraulic pumps. The following
procedure will allow the hydraulic pump to
operate at 90% capacity enabling continuous
work.(as long as main C-1 computer is
functional if controller must be shut down then
work rate is about 65%.)
• Procedure to engage back-up function of
pump regulator.
1. Stop the engine.
2. Locate each psv (portional solenoid valve)
and unplug the electrical connector(s) of
the failed solenoid valve to prevent further
damage to the controller.
3. Locate each manual back set screw head
(4.5mm). Loosen the lock nuts(13mm) of
two back-up screws on the P1 & P2
regulators. See Figure 3.34.a & Fig. 3.34.c
4. Turn the back-up screws counterclockwise
out with a wrench until they stop.
5. Retighten the lock nuts.
6. If computer is still functional and PSV-1 and
PSV-2 have just been unplugged start work
normally, if the controller has failed then the
installation of the manual throttle cable will
have to be made to operate the machine
at correct engine RPMs. See next page
for installation of manual throttle cable.
