    If you have more than four mes- sages, the light blinks continuously. Note: The light also blinks continuous- ly if the TAD-277 receives one or more incoming messages after power is in- terrupted (see “Troubleshooting” on Page 13).

If the trouble is affecting the phone lines, the phone company can ask you to disconnect the phone until you have resolved the problem.
