HONDA SENSING
is a driver support system which employs the use of two
distinctly different kinds of sensors, a radar sensor located at the lower part of
the front bumper and a front sensor camera mounted to the interior side of the
Radar Sensor
windshield, behind the rear view mirror.
Below are the components of Honda Sensing:
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

Adaptive Cruise Control with Low Speed Follow (ACC with

Helps maintain a constant
vehicle speed and a set
following interval behind a
vehicle detected ahead of
yours. ACC can only be set at
speeds of 25 mph or above.
Do not apply paint, stickers, or
attach accessories to the front
part of the radar sensor or the
c Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
surrounding area.
Under certain circumstances, if you cross a detected lane line without
using your turn signal, a message appears on the multi-information display
and the steering vibrates slightly.
Main button
To activate, press Main button and then LKAS button.
c Traffic Sign Recognition System
Reminds you of the current speed limit your vehicle has just passed
through, showing it on the driver information interface and the head-up
display*.

• Do not change the position of the radar
sensor or any of the surrounding parts.
• Do not apply paint, stickers, or attach non-
genuine accessories to the front part of the
radar sensor or the surrounding area. Be
particularly careful that any custom license
plate frame or other accessory does not
block any part of the radar beam path (see

Indicates the state of RDM, CMBS
by color and letters.
Green: All three systems are
on.
Green/Gray: One or more of
these of systems are off.
Gray: The systems are off.
Amber: There is a problem with one
or more of these systems.
c Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
Under certain circumstances, alerts and helps to assist you if the system
determines a possibility of your vehicle unintentionally crossing over
detected lane markings. Incorporates Lane Departure Warning (LDW) alert.
To turn the system on or off, press
the safety support switch. Roll the
left selector wheel to the RDM
symbol and push it.
c Collision Mitigation Braking System
Helps reduce the likelihood of a collision with a vehicle detected ahead and
the severity of an impact if the collision is unavoidable. Incorporates Forward
Collision Warning (FCW).
To turn the system on or off, press
the safety support switch. Roll the
left selector wheel to the CMBS
symbol and select it.
