About the Gini Learning Keyboard
Thank you for buying the Gini Learning Keyboard™. The Gini Learning
Keyboard™ includes songs and games based on the Gini Music Method™
created by renowned pianist Giovanni Marradi. This system uses a
simplified notation that makes reading music easier to learn so children
can quickly begin mastering songs and exploring musical concepts. The
basis for the system are the Gini Avatars—letters, numbers, and avatars
which represent each key on the piano. Different colors represent different
octaves to allow children to quickly identify where on the keyboard they
should focus their attention.
You may want to start your child in Standalone Mode, where the Gini
Learning Keyboard™ works as a standalone keyboard on which children
can explore musical concepts and learn to play the piano. In Free Play,
there are a variety of instrument sounds and rhythms which children can
use to enhance their enjoyment by creating and even recording music. In
Listen, children can hear each of the bundled songs in order to learn the
melody and get a sense for how each song should be played. The avatars
or letters can light up in this mode in order to show children which keys
are being played throughout a song. Finally, in Practice, an innovative LED
light system shows children what keys to press to play the same songs
they've explored in Listen.
Once children have gained confidence by playing a few of the included
songs, they can then explore the TV-connected content by playing games
in the Adventure Story. These games focus on specific skills and musical
concepts that will help your child learn to play piano and explore the
wonderful world of music. As children complete games in the Adventure
Story, they become available in the Quick Play Menu on the TV so children
can improve their skills and master the games. Additionally, the Play a
Song and Jam Session sections of TV Mode allow children to explore a
variety of songs and even record their own music.
