    IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and injury to persons, including the following: 1. Read all instructions before using this heater. 2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater.

    GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This product is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

    OPERATION The fireplace/heater unit comes in two distinct parts: The fireplace unit itself, (Figure 2), and the Remote Control, (Figure 3).   • Page 5 OPERATION The next segment, (2), is a Function Indicator. It has three square LED’s, a red one, a green one and a blue one. The red LED indicates that the Fahrenheit temperature heating function is running, the green LED indicates that the Centigrade temperature heating function is running, and the blue LED indicates that the Timer Function is engaged.
  • Page 6 OPERATION The next segment, (5), is the Flames Control button. Like the timer button, there are four settings for the flames. Pressing the flames button in sequence will set the flames for different levels of flame height. These flame levels are showed in the display segment (1).     OPERATION • The Fireplace/Heater Remote Control A great feature of the Fireplace/Heater unit is the small remote control. This remote combines all the functions of the front panel controls of the fireplace/heater with the convenience of not having to leave the comfort of your seat to change the settings of the fireplace/heater.
