6. MAINTENANCE & DIAGNOSTICS
6.1 Maintenance
Check the following points regularly to maintain performance:
• Check that connectors on the rear panel are firmly tightened and free of rust.
• Check that the ground system is free of rust and the ground wire is tightly fastened.
• Check the antenna for damage. Replace if damaged.
• Dust and dirt on the keyboard and display screen may be removed with a soft cloth. Do not
use chemical cleaners to clean the equipment; they may remove paint and markings.
6.2 Error alarms displayed
When an error occurs, the alarm will be displaying on the current screen. The meanings
of the alarms are stated in below table:
Message
ANCHOR!
ARRIVAL!
NO FIX!
SPEED!
XTE!
OUTPUT ERROR!
The alarm parameters are set in NAVIGATION SETTING.
6.3 Diagnostic Test
The diagnostic test checks software version, keyboard and LCD for proper operation.
Meaning, Remedy
Anchor watch alarm setting violated.
Arrival alarm setting violated.
No GPS signal. Check antenna cable.
Speed alarm setting violated.
XTE alarm setting violated.
Too many sentences selected.
