5. The DOS prompt "T3700G-52TQ>" will appear after pressing the Enter button as Figure 6-4

shows. It indicates that you can use the CLI now.

Logon by Telnet

By default, you can logon by Telnet in login local mode directly. To log in to the switch by a Telnet

connection, please take the following steps:

1. Make sure the switch and the PC are in the same LAN.

2. Click Start and type in cmd in the Search programs and files window and press the Enter button.

3. Type telnet 192.168.0.1 in the command prompt shown as Figure 6-6, and press the Enter button.
