Lens Adjustment Procedure

Lens Adjustment consists of 2 items below:
•Iris Adjustment
•Zoom Tracking Adjust
Lens Adjustment Program has adjustment modes of individual items and an automatic adjustment mode which adjusts succes-
sively the all items.
(1) Start-up the HCM5 CAMERA Service Tool.
(2) Select Model No. BB-HCM580.
(3) Power on the Set.
1. Iris Adjustment
Equipment
•None
Procedure
1. Connect the Set from PC through LAN.
2. Press the [Iris] button.
•Adjustment completes with no error → Displays "Adjustment OK"
•Adjustment comes out an error → Displays "Adjustment NG"
3. If "Adjustment NG" is displayed, see SECTION 7.6 TROUBLESHOOTING.
2. Zoom Tracking Adjustment
Equipment
•Focus Pattern Chart
•Collimator
•Light Box
Procedure
1. Place a ND filter in the HP light box.
2. Attach the focus pattern chart to the collimator.
3. Adjust the set's lens at the same height as the HP light box.
4. With keeping the end of the set's lens inserting into the Collimator, insert the focus chart side of the collimator into the HP light
box.
5. Connect the Set from PC through LAN to output image.
6. Set the zoom position to TELE and adjust the position so that the Focus Pattern Chart is displayed in the full screen.
7. Press the [Tracking] button.
•Adjustment completes with no error → Displays "Adjustment OK"
•Adjustment comes out an error → Displays "Adjustment NG"
8. If "Adjustment NG" is displayed, see SECTION 7.6 TROUBLESHOOTING.
3. Auto Adjustment (Iris Adjustment and Zoom Tracking Adjustment)
Equipment
•Focus Pattern Chart
•Collimator
•Light Box
Procedure
1. Set up the HP light box, collimator and the set the same way as 2. Zoom Tracking.
2. Connect the Set from PC through LAN to output image.
3. Set the zoom position to TELE and adjust the position so that the Focus Pattern Chart is display in the full screen.
4. Press the [Auto] button.
•Adjustment completes with no error → Displays "Adjustment OK"
•Adjustment comes out an error → Displays "Adjustment NG"
5. If "Adjustment NG" is displayed, see SECTION 7.6 TROUBLESHOOTING.
