    NOISE REGULATION TAMPERING WITH NOISE CONTROL SYSTEM PROHIBITED: Federal law prohibits the following acts or the causing thereof: (1) The removal or rendering inoperative by any person other than for purposes of maintenance, repair, or replacement of any device or element of design incorporated into any new vehicle for the purpose of noise control prior to its sale or delivery to the ultimate purchaser or while it is in use or (2) the use of the vehicle after such device or element of design has been removed or rendered inoperative by any person.

  • Page 156 BAJA INC. – EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM WARRANTY YOUR WARRANTY RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS The emission control system warranty period for this vehicle begins on the date the vehicle is delivered to the first purchaser other than an authorized dealer, or the date it is first used as a demonstrator, lease, or company vehicle, whichever comes first and con- tinues for 60 months after that date, or 5,000km, whichever comes first, provided there has been no abuse, neglect or improper maintenance of your vehicle.
  • Page 157 Your emission control system warranty covers components whose failure would increase an engine’s emission, including elec- tronic controls, fuel injection system, carburetor, the ignition system, catalytic converter, or any other system utilized in this vehicle to control emission if it is originally equipped. Also included may be hoses, connectors and other emission-related assemblies. Replacing or repairing other components (including parts, labor, and other costs) not covered by this emission control system war- ranty or the standard warranty is the responsibility of the owner.
