Viewfinder I nformation
The Canon AT-1 i s a camera offering full
aperture metering with FD lenses where the
aperture needle is coupled to the shutter
speed, aperture and film's sensitivity when FD
lenses are used. Furthermore, when using
Canon F L lenses on the AT-1, the exposure
reading is performed with stopped-down
metering.
The Central Emphasis Metering method
of exposure measurement is used in the AT-1
to deliver the optimum exposure to the main
subject without being affected by the bright
sky in the upper part of the picture area.
In the center of the viewfinder is a range-
finder while the meter needle and the aperture
needle (circular) are found t o the right. The
exposure metering range index marks are in
the upper and lower right. The exposure
metering range index mark in the upper right
is also used as the batterv check index mark.
The exposure metering range extends from
EV
3
(fl1.4, 114 of a- second) t o
EV
17 (fl16,
11500 of a second) at ASA 100 film with FD
50mm fl1.4 S.S.C. lens.
