When You Need Service - KitchenAid 5KSM150PS Instructions Manual

Please read the follow ing before
calling your service center.
1. The Stand M ixer may w arm up during
use. Under heavy loads w ith extended
mixing time periods, you may not be
able to comfortably touch the top of
the unit. This is normal.
2. The Stand M ixer may emit a pungent
odor, especially when new. This is
common with electric motors.
3. If the flat beater hits the bow l, stop
the Stand M ixer. See " Beater to Bow l
Clearance," page 7.

When You Need Service

If your Stand M ixer should malfunction
or fail to operate, please check the
follow ing:
- Is the Stand M ixer plugged in?
- Is the fuse in the circuit to the Stand
M ixer in w orking order? If you have a
circuit breaker box, be sure the circuit is
closed.
- T urn the Stand M ixer off for 10-15
seconds, then turn it back on. If the
mixer still does not start, allow it to cool
for 30 minutes before turning it back on.
- If the problem is not due to one of the
above items, see " Service Centers."
