4. OPErATION Tanks accumulate heat from the heating systems for domestic or industrial use. Different types of boilers and heating systems, renewable energy sources (heat pumps, sun collectors) or electricity can be used to heat the water in the accumulation tank. Heat in the tank is accumulated either by flow of the heating liquid from the heat source or by flow of the heating liquid and the heat transfer (e.g. -
