1 GENERAL

The ADC 16 × 1 Unity-Gain Combiner-Amplifier Panel (UGC Panel) is designed for use in
19-inch or 23-inch equipment racks (the mounting ears are reversible). Its function is to
combine 16 sub-split signals into a single output signal. This panel is powered from facility
100 to 260 VAC 50/60 Hz through a standard modular power cord and uses active circuits to
achieve 0 dB of insertion loss. Figure 1 shows a typical application of the UGC Panel.
All signal connections to the UGC Panel are made through standard 75-ohm F- or BNC-type
female RF coaxial connectors on the rear panel. There is also a front panel (20 dB down)
MONITOR connector for test equipment access to the UGC Panel's output signal.
