    ADCP-61-803 • Issue 3 • September 2000 1 GENERAL The ADC 16 × 1 Unity-Gain Combiner-Amplifier Panel (UGC Panel) is designed for use in 19-inch or 23-inch equipment racks (the mounting ears are reversible). Its function is to combine 16 sub-split signals into a single output signal. This panel is powered from facility 100 to 260 VAC 50/60 Hz through a standard modular power cord and uses active circuits to achieve 0 dB of insertion loss.

    MONITOR is mounted on the front panel for signal monitoring purposes. The UGC’s power input is located on the rear panel, as is the power switch. A green POWER LED on the front panel indicates the status of the power supply. Page 4  2000, ADC Telecommunications, Inc.

    Warning: The Unity Gain Combiner is factory set for 120 VAC operation. For 240 VAC operation, refer to subsection 3.1, Configuring the Unity Gain Combiner for 220 to 240 VAC Operation. 5.
