3) For the diagnosis of Mercedes Benz with an 8 or a 16-pole connector,
connect the DCN-PRO / Multiscan head unit and the MB 4-pin adapter
by the main data link cable as shown below:
IMPORTANT!
All 4 pins must be connected to the correct terminals as instructed, otherwise it may
result in malfunction or bring about serious damage to both the vehicle control system
and the scan tool.
Make sure to turn Ignition Key OFF before connecting a pin.
4) Make the connection of the 4 pins
a.
Red to 12 Volt Positive terminal
(8-pole connector has no 12 Volt Positive terminal.
from the cigarette lighter socket)
b.
Black to Ground terminal
c.
Yellow to Ignition terminal
d.
Gray (K Line) to the terminal that is suggested on the head unit
screen.
