Turn food items over once during microwaving to speed cooking of such food items as chicken
■ ■
and hamburgers. Large items like roasts must be turned over at least once.
Rearrange food items such as meatballs halfway through cooking both from top to bottom and
■ ■
from the centre of the dish to the outside.

Utensils guide

The ideal material for a microwave utensil is transparent to microwave energy (see table below).
■ ■
It allows energy to pass through the container and heat the food.
■ ■
Microwave energy cannot penetrate metal, so metal utensils or dishes with metallic trim should
■ ■
not be used.
Do not use recycled paper products when microwave cooking, as they may contain small metal
■ ■
fragments which may cause sparks and/or fires.
Round/oval dishes rather than square/oblong ones are recommend, as food in corners tends
■ ■
to overcook.
Narrow strips of aluminium foil may be used to prevent overcooking of exposed areas. Be careful
■ ■
not to use too much and keep a distance of 2.54 cm between foil and cavity.
The list below is a general guide to help you select the correct utensils.
■ ■
Cookware
Heat-resistant glass
Non heat-resistant glass
Heat-resistant ceramics without
metallic decoration

Aluminium foil & foil container
*Applicable for both 'microwave+grill' and 'microwave+convection' cooking.
Glass Tray
Do not operate the oven without Turntable ring assembly and Glass Tray in place.
1
Only use the Glass Tray specifically designed for this oven. Do not substitute another Glass Tray.
2
If Glass Tray is hot, allow to cool before cleaning or placing in water.
3
Do not cook directly on Glass Tray. Always place food on a microwave safe dish, or on the rack in
4
a microwave safe dish.
Glass Tray can rotate in either direction.
5
If food or utensil on Glass Tray touches oven walls, causing the tray to stop moving, the tray will
6
automatically rotate in opposite direction. This is normal.
