    Ergonomics Application and its consequences A regular alternation between sitting and standing strengthens the muscles and the locomotor system, helping to prevent physical discomfort. The cardiovascular system is thus activated, leading to an increase in concentration and effi ciency. Of particular importance is the correct ratio: 60% dynamic sitting, 30% working in a standing position and 10% purposeful walking around (to meetings, copier, running errands).
