Zoom In/Out the Picture
1. Turn on the camera by sliding and holding the Power Switch in the
arrow direction shown near the switch for 2 seconds.
2. Set the camera in Auto, A/S/M or Playback mode.
3. Press the Zoom in/out button to zoom in/out the subject. The camera
switches from optical zoom to digital zoom when it reaches the
maximum optical zoom, where it stops momentarily. Keep pressing
the Zoom In button and the zoom will switch over to digital zoom.
4. Now you can takes pictures and playback them under the zoom
setting you just made. The zoom setting will remain after taking
pictures. If you want to take a normal size picture, please use the
Zoom Out button.
NOTE:
• Zoom feature is not available in Macro and Video modes.
• Digital zoom feature is not available when you set the camera in Playback
mode or turn Digital Zoom off.

• Setting the Picture Resolution and Quality

Picture resolution refers to the number of pixels in a digital picture.
Picture quality depends on the JPEG file compression that the camera
applies when the picture is taken. Higher resolution and less compression
make better quality which occupies more memory space. Smaller size
pictures and normal quality are easier to email while larger size and fine
quality are better for printing.
