MAINTENANCE
Air Filter/Breather Filter
1. Position the vehicle on a level
surface.
2. Place the transmission in gear.
3. Lock the parking brake.
4. Remove the seat.
5. Release the air box
cover clips, and
remove the air box
cover.
6. Remove the air filter.
7. Remove the sleeve
from the filter.
8. Wash the sleeve in
soapy water, then rinse
and let dry.
9. Remove the breather
filter.
10. Wash the breather filter
in soapy water, then
rinse and let dry.
11. Reinstall the breather filter.
Operation of your vehicle without a breather filter can cause engine damage.
Always reinstall the breather filter after removing it for service.
12. Reinstall the sleeve over the air filter. Replace the filter if needed.
13. Reinstall the air filter into the air box.
14. Reinstall the air box cover and the seat.
