    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY Your vehicle is equipped with a Lithium-ion high voltage battery that is used to power the electric powertrain systems and the 12 volt vehicle electrical system. The high voltage battery is located under the middle section of the vehicle, below and in front of the second row seating.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D NOTE: • During vehicle start up and shut down a clicking noise may be heard from within the vehicle. When the ignition is in the ON position, the high voltage battery contactors inside the battery are closed to make the stored electricity inside available for vehicle use.
  • Page 12 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D AC Level 1 Charging (120V, 15 Amp) Your vehicle is equipped with a 120 Volt AC, SAE J1772 Level 1 Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), also referred to as a charging cordset. AC Level 1 charging requires a conventional NEMA 5-15 120 Volt AC grounded wall receptacle along with the charging cordset provided with the vehicle.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D Emergency Key Should the battery in the vehicle or the key fob go dead, there is an emergency key located in the key fob that can be used for locking and unlocking the doors. To remove the emergency key, slide the button at the top of the key fob sideways with your thumb and then pull the key out with your other hand.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D VEHICLE SECURITY ALARM The vehicle security alarm monitors the vehicle doors for unauthorized entry and the ignition for unauthorized operation. While the vehicle security alarm is armed, interior switches for door locks and liftgate release are disabled.

The seat belt webbing retractor will lock only during very sudden stops or collisions. This feature allows the shoulder part of the seat belt to move freely with you under normal conditions.

  • Page 50 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D Lighter Weight Passengers (Including Small Adults) When a lighter weight passenger, including a small adult, occupies the front passenger seat, the OCS may reduce the inflation rate of the Passenger Advanced Front Air Bag. This does not mean that the OCS is working improperly.

The main purpose of an EDR is to record, in certain crash or near crash-like situations, such as an air bag deployment or hitting a road obstacle, data that will assist in understanding how a vehicle’s systems performed.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D HEAD RESTRAINTS Head restraints are designed to reduce the risk of injury by restricting head movement in the event of a rear impact. Head restraints should be adjusted so that the top of the head restraint is located above the top of your ear.
