4. How t o keep your dishwasher in shape

Aft er Every Wash
Aft er every wash, t urn off t he wat er supply t he appliance and leave t he door
slight ly aj ar so t hat m oist ure and odors are not t rapped inside.
Rem ove t he plug
Before cleaning or perform ing m aint enance, always rem ove t he plug from t he
socket . Do not run risks.
No solvent s or Abrasive Cleaning Product s
To clean t he ext erior and rubber part s of t he dishwasher, do not use solvent s or
abrasive cleaning product s. Rat her, use only a clot h and warm soapy wat er.
To rem ove spot s or st ains from t he surface of t he int erior, use a clot h dam pened
wit h wat er and a lit t le while vinegar, or cleaning product m ade specifically for
dishwashers.
Moving t he Appliance
I f t he appliance m ust be m oved, t ry t o keep it in a vert ical posit ion. I f absolut ely
necessary, it can be posit ioned on it s back.
Seals
One of t he fact ors t hat cause odors t o form in t he dishwasher is food t hat rem ains
t rapped in t he seals.
Periodic cleaning wit h a dam p sponge will prevent t his from occurring.
The door should not be left in t he open posit ion since t his could
present a t ripping hazard.
When You Go on Holiday
When you go on holiday, it is recom m ended t hat you run a wash cycle wit h t he
dishwasher em pt y and t hen rem ove t he plug from t he socket , t urn off t he wat er
supply and leave t he door of t he appliance slight ly aj ar. This will help t he seals
last longer and prevent odors from form ing wit hin t he appliance.
