10 Controlling the rest of your system

Controls for TVs

This remote control can control components after entering the proper codes or teaching the
receiver the commands (see Setting the remote to control other components on page 44 for more
on this). Use the MULTI CONTROL buttons to select the component.
• The TV CONTROL buttons on the remote control are dedicated to control the TV assigned to
the TV CTRL button. If you have two TVs, assign the main TV to the TV CTRL button.
Button(s) Function
TV Switches the DTV on or off.
Switches the TV or CATV between standby and on.
INPUT Switches the TV input. (Not possible with all models.)
SELECT
TV CH +/–
Selects channels.
TV VOL +/– Adjust the TV volume.
TOP MENU Use as the TEXT ON button.
Select different menus from the DTV functions.
MENU
Select the menu screen.
AUDIO Use as the AUDIO button.
GUIDE Use as the GUIDE button for navigating.
Use as the TEXT OFF button.
Number Use to select a specific TV channel.

(SHIFT +) 7 Use to choose the BLUE commands on a DTV menu.
(SHIFT +) 8 Use to choose the GREEN commands on a DTV menu.
(SHIFT +) 9 Use to choose the RED commands on a DTV menu.
