BATLOGGERs together, the corresponding regulations have to be followed. Storage media SD / SDHC – card: The BATLOGGER uses SD / SDHC cards of up to 32 GB capacity as storage media. Test have shown, that cards of different vendors may vary in writing and erasing speed.
Apart from the bat calls, which are stored as WAVE files, additional information is written in text format into a “.xml” file, which stores all the settings of the BATLOGGER at the time of recording, including time, date and location of the recording (GPS data), and the temperature of the logger.
Global positioning and time recording / GPS The BATLOGGER is equipped with a GPS receiver. Its positioning and time data are stored in parallel to the #****.wav file in a corresponding #****.xml file, and into a Google-Earth -.kml file. Further on, the travelled track can be recorded to a GPX file.
