WARNING
Closing a sliding door while any part of a passenger is in the door's path
can cause serious injury.
Make sure all passengers are clear of the doorway before closing a
sliding door.
Walk Away Auto Lock *

When you walk away from the vehicle while carrying the remote transmitter,
the doors can automatically lock if the following conditions are met:
• The remote transmitter is within a range of about 8 feet (2.5 m).
• All doors are closed.
• There is not an additional remote transmitter inside the vehicle.
Follow these steps (see diagram):
1. Carry the remote transmitter while
you exit the vehicle. Stay near
the vehicle until all the doors are
all closed. Listen for a beep. The
system is activated.
2. Walk at least 5 feet (1.5 m) away.
Listen for a beep and look for the
lights to flash.
The doors lock.
To turn on this feature, follow the steps below:
1. From the HOME screen, select Settings.
2. Select Vehicle. The vehicle must be in Park (P).
3. Select Keyless Access Setup.
4. Select Walk Away Auto Lock.
5. Select Enable.
6. Select BACK to exit each menu.

Use these methods to operate the power tailgate.

The vehicle must be in Park (P) with
all doors unlocked.
Press and hold the power tailgate
button on the dashboard until the
tailgate starts to open. Press it
again to stop, or press and hold until
it reverses.

Manual Opening

Press and hold the tailgate outer
handle longer than one second.
The tailgate unlatches and you can
open it manually.
Closing the power tailgate while anyone is in the path of the tailgate can
cause serious injury.
Make sure everyone is clear before closing the tailgate.
NOTICE
Do not push or pull on the power tailgate when it is being automatically
opened or closed. Forcibly opening or closing the power tailgate while in
operation can deform the tailgate frame.

Press the tailgate inner button to
automatically close the tailgate.
Press it again at any time to stop it.
Press again to reverse the tailgate
direction.
