    FX1-80 PLANER 900W FX1-80 APPLICATION Your planer has been designed for planing wooden workpieces. This tool is not suitable fur stationary use. It is not designed for commercial use. WARNING! Please read and understand this operating manual before use and keep it for your future reference. Your power tool should only be passed on together with these instructions.

    FX1-80 SYMBOLS The following symbols are used in this manual and/or on the machine: In accordance with essential requirements of the European directive(s) Class II - The machine is double insulated; Earthing wire is therefore not necessary. Read manual before use Denotes risk of personal injury or damage to the tool.

    FX1-80 Electrical safety Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use adapter plugs with earthed power tools.

    FX1-80 If there are devices for connecting dust extraction and collection facilities, please ensure that they are attached and used correctly. Using such devices can reduce dust-related hazards. Power tool use and care Do not expect the power tool to do more than it can. Use the correct power tool for what you want to do.

    FX1-80 Switch off the tool and wait for the cutters to come to a standstill before putting the tool down. Reduce the planing depth to avoid contact between the cutters and other objects. ADJUSTMENTS/SETTINGS Remove the blades (Fig. 1) Place the tool on a table with the base plate pointing towards you.

    FX1-80 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Switching on and off (Fig. 5) Before engaging the on/off switch, check the blades are fitted properly. Connect the plug to the power supply To switch on the planer, press the lock-on button (5) and push the ON/OFF switch trigger (4).

    FX1-80 Edge chamfering (Fig. 8) Your planer has 3 precision machine grooves (11) in the front base (10) for planing along a corner of the wood. It’s a good idea to try a scrap piece of wood before doing final pieces.

    FX1-80 12 SERVICE DEPARTMENT Damaged switches must be replaced by our after-sales service department. If the connecting cable (or mains plug) is damaged, it must be replaced by a special connecting cable which is available from our service department. Replacement of the connecting cable should only be carried out by our service department (see last page) or by a specialist (qualified electrician).

    FX1-80 Your appliance must be returned undismantled to your dealer in an acceptably clean state, (in its original blow-moulded case if applicable to the unit), accompanied by proof of purchase. 15 ENVIRONMENT Should your appliance need replacement after extended use, do not discard it with the household rubbish but dispose of it in an environmentally safe way.
