Do not cover suction/exhaust ports.
Keep clothes, hair and limbs clear of the suction inlet.
Never tilt the vacuum cleaner.
Avoid running over power cable with the vacuum cleaner.
Do not use on animals or people.
For use with cold ashes only! Hot ashes can cause fires and hot air can
damage your vacuum cleaner.
Check ashes carefully for hot embers by raking (use a poker or similar object)!
If hot ashes are accidentally sucked up, place container outdoors for at least
24 hours before disposing of them.
Check there is a dust bag in the vacuum cleaner before use and that it is not
full.
If your vacuum cleaner is very powerful, open air vent on pipe or reduce
suction power in some other way.
This is particularly important if cleaning very fine dust.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without supervision.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

7 PREPARATION

Check that the plug is disconnected from the mains.
Fit the wheels (12) to the four corners of the vacuum pedestal and make sure
they are firm. (see Fig. 3)
Unfasten the barrel lock tabs (11) on the vacuum barrel (10).
Lift the machine top (7) off.
Remove the dust bag when using as a wet vacuum cleaner.
When using as a dry vacuum cleaner, fit a fabric or paper dust bag.
Place the top over the barrel and fasten with the barrel lock tabs.

8 CONNECTION (FIG.4)

Insert the hose connector into the air inlet mouth (9) as picture (Fig.4)
shows, rotate the connector clockwise by hand and lock on the correct
position, make sure the connector is tightly fastened.
To remove the suction hose (6), turn the hose connector anticlockwise and
pull the suction hose out. Take hold of the hose connector so you are not
pulling on the suction hose itself.
Fit the plastic tube (4) to the handle on the suction hose, and fit the required
nozzle (a, c) to the plastic tube.
If no nozzle is to be used on the suction hose, it can be used to vacuum water
or sludge up from a blocked drain, washbasin etc.
