ABOUT THE EIS2-EXTEND- A
The EIS2-EXTEND-A is a Long Reach Ethernet Extender to utilize existing copper cabling
infrastructure (twisted pair), extending Ethernet to up to 1200 meters over VDSL2. Applications
such as IP-based Internet connections, video-on-demand and voice services can benefit from the
EIS2-EXTEND-A VDSL2 extenders. It offers one 10/100Mbps Ethernet port and one VDSL2 port,
and is a PNP, unmanaged device.
HARDW ARE INST ALLATION
EIS2-EXTEND-A Extenders
The EIS2-EXTEND-A VDSL2 extenders must be set up in pairs for end
to end connectivity. The VDSL2 extender offers DIP Switches (DSW), to
set one as a Master for the CO (Central Office) and one as an RT
(Remote) for the CPE (Customer Premises Equipment). The DSW #1
labeled SNR 9db/SNR 6db must be set as follows:
CO: SNR 6db set to enabled CPE: SNR 9db set to enabled
