Check spark p l ug for burnt condition. If
abnormal, replace the plug as indicated
below.

head with the specified tQrque.

Steering should be adjusted properly for
smooth manipu lation of hand lebars and safe
run n ing. Too stiff steering prevents smooth
manipu lation of handlebars and too loose
steering w i l l cause the handlebars to vibrate.
Check to see that there is no play in the
front fork fitting.
I f any play can be found, adjust the steering
as fol lows:
Support the motorcycle body and jack u p
the front wheel.
( ! ) , tighten the steering stem nut CV using
Loosen the steering stem nut securing nut
the special tool so that the front fork
moves smoothly.
