Note – Heat index and dewpoint
• Heat Index combines the effects of heat and
humidity. It is the apparent temperature of
how hot the heat-humidity combination
makes it feels.
• Dew point is the saturation point of the air,
or the temperature to which the air has to be
cooled in order to get condensation.

6.7. Maximum and minimum values

• The base station automatically stores the
maximum and minimum outdoor and indoor
values of temperature, dewpoint, heat index
and humidity.
• Use the LIGHT / CHANNEL / Zz button (10) or
the MODE / SET button (11) to switch the display
between indoor and outdoor dewpoint and heat
index values.
• Press the MEMORY button (14) repeatedly to
switch the display between the current value,
the minimum value (MIN) and the maximum
value (MAX).
• Press and hold the MEMORY button (14) for
approx. 3 seconds to reset the stored maximum
and minimum values.
6.8. Lighting
• The backlight can be set to permanent mode (on)
as described in 6.1 Initial settings as well as 6.4
Basic and manual settings. This will set the
display to be backlit at all times.
• If permanent backlight mode is off, press the
LIGHT / CHANNEL / Zz button (10) and/or turn
the motion sensor on to activate the backlight for
approx. 10 seconds.
Note – Permanent backlight mode
• Permanent backlight mode is only possible
when the base station is plugged into mains
power.
• In permanent backlight mode, the motion
sensor is automatically disabled.

6.9. Motion detector

• To activate the motion sensor (on), see 6.1 Initial
settings as well as 6.4 Basic and manual
settings.
• In permanent backlight mode, the motion sensor is
automatically disabled.
• With the motion sensor activated, wave your hand
in front of the motion sensor (1) up to 20 cm
away in order to activate the backlight for approx.
10 seconds.
• The backlight can always be activated, even when
the motion sensor is disabled, by pressing the
LIGHT/ CHANNEL/ Zz button (10).

6.10. Reset
Press the RESET button (15) to reset the station. The
base station returns to the factory settings and all
stored information is lost.
7. Operating the Measuring Station
Press the °C / °F button (25) to choose between °C
and °F for the temperature display.
