GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
These instructions will aid the service person to make re-
pairs quickly and carrectly. The repairs must be made by
a qualifi ed service person. Read instructions ENTIRELY
before attempting to make repairs on the product.
These instructions must be read and under-
stood before installation, adjustment, service
or maintenance is performed. This unit must
be serviced by a Dometic Service Center or
a qualifi ed service technician. Modifi cation
of this product can be extremely hazardous
and could result in personal injury or prop-
erty damage.

and specifi cations without notice.

Ball End Hammer

A. REPLACEMENT OF ADJUSTABLE-PITCH
ARM
1. This section is meant for the replacement of an
existing Adjustable-Pitch Arm with a new one.
For instructions on adding water-shedding capa-
bility to hardware that did not originally come with
an Adjustable-Pitch Arm, see the retrofi t instruc-
tions in Section C.
Note: The assistance of a second person will be required
to support the weight of the awning during Steps 4 & 5.
2. Open awning fully.
Refer to FIGS. 1&2. Make note and keep track of
the spacers located between the Adjustable-Pitch
Arm and the Strut End Fitting (qty. 2,) the spacers
located between the Adjustable-Pitch Arm and
the Back Channel (qty. 2,) and the spacers lo-
cated between the Adjustable-Pitch Arm and the
Front Channel (qty. 2, not shown.) You will need
to re-install these spacers before the installation
is complete.
3. Remove the pin that joins the Adjustable-
Pitch Arm to the Front Channel (Pin A.) First
pry off the internal-tooth lock washer using the
Flat-Edge Screw Driver. Use care to avoid dam-
age to the powder-coat fi nish of the hardware.
Next remove the pin using the Ball-End Hammer.
Start by supporting the side of the Front Chan-
nel where the fl at head of the pin is located, and
use gentle, fi rm taps on the free end of the pin.
Collect the pin and two spacers and put aside.
Swing the free end of the Adjustable-Pitch Arm
