getting started 4. Start-up and safety check During the assembly and in the final final inspection by the dealer your bike was subjected to an intensive control. How- ever, transport and or prolonged non-use of the bicycle may result in changes in the function. So before you set off for the first time and before each further ride, you should consider some important things and check the bike shortly.
getting started Attention! Your bike is under extreme stress due to weather conditions and road bumps in everyday riding. Through these permanent dynamic stresses all components of the bicycle are subjected to fatigue and wear. Therefore examine your bicycle, even the frame, fork and suspension points, regularly for wear of components and other changes.
Behavior in road traffiC 5. Behavior in road traffic With the electric auxiliary drive you reach higher speeds more quickly and experience faster accelerations, than you are used from a normal bicycle. Therefore, you should familiarize your- self intensely with the pedelec on a traffic free road, before you ride on public roads.
ProPulsionsystem 6. The Klever Mobility propulsion system - Biactron You‘ve purchased a pedelec bike, that relieves your trans- portation needs with its electric auxiliary system. Ascents can be ridden with less effort and the wind resistance can be overcome better.
ProPulsion system The five support levels can be selected according to the external circumstances (e.g. high level for ascents or strong headwind) or the personal preferences. Please note that a high level of support also means a higher power consumption and reduction of the range of the system and the battery.
ProPulsion system 6.2 Support levels The propulsion system provides five levels of support. Depen- ding on the topography, weather conditions and your own perception, you can choose the support of the motor by using the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to adjust and the boost but- ton on the control panel (see also Section 6.3 Display)

ProPulsionsystem CONFIG submenu Here you can set different functions of the Biactron system. If LOCK is set to ON, the alarm and motor lock function is active when the battrery is in the bike and the panel is taken of it´s seat.
ProPulsionsystem 6.3.4 Assembly and disassembly of the display The display panel can be removed from the control unit. We recommend that whenever you want to park the bike, remove the display panel. This means an additional theft protection, because the system can only be started with this display.
ProPulsion system 6.4 Battery Your Pedelec has a high quality lithium-ion battery of the ne- west generation. For technical details, please refer to Chapter 11 Technical data. You can always check the status of the battery on the LED on the charging socket of the battery.

ProPulsion system 6.4.2 Range The range specification of the system can only be relative, as it isvery strong depending on the chosen level of support, the technical condition of the bike (oiled chain, optimal tire pressure, etc.) the total weight of the system (bike, rider and luggage) to the topography of the chosen route and the wea- ther (headwind-or tailwind, winter or summer).
ProPulsion system 6.4.3 Disassembly and assembly of the battery Removing the battery The battery is automatically saved with the battery lock and thereby protected from theft. Using the provided key you can lock and unlock the battery lock on the frame.
ProPulsion system 6.4.4 Transport of the battery The battery is subjected to the Dangerous Goods Legislation requirements. The user can transport the battery by road and train without further requirements. When being transport by third parties (e.g. forwarding, post or via air) special requirements on Packing and labeling must be observed.

To change the position of the brake levers and the gear shifter, loosen the clamp screws and twist them according to your wishes. Then tight the clamping screws again. (Image 2. Now you can adjust the headset play with the top screw of the headset, by turning the screw with a 6mm allen key clockwise, until you don´t feel play anymore.
the BiCyCle 7.3 Suspension fork Your Pedelec is equipped with a high-quality suspension fork which increases your comfort and the safe handling of the bike. The fork is set at the factory and ready to run. You will find a preload adjustment on the left side of the fork crown.

the BiCyCle Attention! New brake pads must be broken in to achieve their optimal deceleration values. By braking at least 30 times from approximately 30 km/h the brake pads will achieve their maximum brake power. Not properly broken in brakes do not reach their optimal dece- leration values and are prone to vibrations and loud squealing.
the BiCyCle 7.5 Drive and gearshift Your Pedelec is equipped with a high-quality 10-speed derailleur, currently the most efficient power transfer on the bike. These gears will help you to always use the optimal transmission (pedaling cadence) independent of terrain (flat or hilly area) and independent of weather (Tail or Headwind).

the BiCyCle Since the chain is one of the wear parts on your bike, it should be replaced, when it is worn out. A worn chain deteriorates the shifting characteristics, and leads to increased wear on the chain wheel and on the sprockets of the cassette. The exact control of the chain should be carried out at the dealer, who has the necessary tools to measure and replace it.
the BiCyCle 7.6 Lighting Your Pedelec is equipped with a high quality bike lights corres- ponding to the StVZO and have an official mark. This is indica- ted by the waved line with the letter K, and a five-digit number. The energy for the light is supplied from the battery of the Biactron system.
the BiCyCle 7.7 Wheels and tires The wheels are extremely stressed parts of the bike that make contact with the road, provide the propulsion and buffer the road bumps. Due to this heavy use, they should be regularly monitored and reviewed. All wheels are manufactured with great care and precision.

The size of the tire can be found on the tire sidewall printed specifically in millimeters and inches. On the Q-Power, the size 20 x 2.0 inches or 50 - 406 is mounted.

maintenanCe, Care and storage 9. Maintenance, Care and Storage Maintenance and Care Regular maintenance and care guarantee a longer lifespan of your high-quality Pedelec. You should carry out simple cleaning and care works yourself regularly and let the dealer do the necessary inspections. Never clean the Pedelec with a strong jet of water or a steam cleaner.

maintenanCe, Care and storage Storage You should always store the bike in a dry, covered place to minimize the effects of weather and avoid direct sunlight for long periods. If you do not drive in winter, you should consider the following tips: Store it cleaned, lubricated and well preserved in a dry place and cover additionally with a tarp.

Dsiposal and transport of the battery Disposal All electronic components, such as motor, display, battery and charger are to be returned to an environmentally compatible recycling and do not belong in the trash. wear 14. Wear Your Pedelec as technical product consists of many com- ponents, which are subject to normal wear due to their function. Therefore, all the following components should be regularly checked and if necessary replaced immediately: 1. Brake Discs and pads are claimed during each braking operation and worn appropriately.

Legal requirements for participation in traffic To participate in public transport, the Pedelec must be equipped according to the national road traffic regulations (in Germany StVZO) If the bike will be driven or purchased in a different country than the BRD, familiarize yourself with their national road traffic regulations.
faQs 16. FAQs: How far can I travel with one battery charge? This depends on the temperature, the topography of the terrain, the technical condition and the total weight of the bicycle. Tires with low air pressure or high weight or driving in hilly terrain, reduce the range (see chapter 6.4.2.).

faQs How many times can I charge my battery? We guarantee that the battery after 700 full charge cycles or two years from now owns 60% of the original capacity. Of course, you can charge the battery more often or use longer than two years.
BiCyCle PassPort 18. Bicycle Passport Immediately fill in all data after purchase in order to present the pass in the case of warranty claims, together with proof of purchase. If your Pedelec gets stolen, the data facilitate the work of the police.
insPeCtion and Plan 19. Regular inspections To keep your Pedelec always roadworthy and be updated to the latest technical status, it should be inspected regularly. We recommend after 500 - 1,000 km or within a year to carry out the first inspection. Any further should be carried out after 2000-3000 kilometers or once a year.
