Basic Waffles Makes 10 300g plain flour 2 tbsp granulated sugar 1 tbsp baking powder ½ tsp baking soda ½ tsp salt 380ml skimmed milk 90ml vegetable oil 2 large eggs n Place all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix until smooth.
Banana and Pecan Waffles Makes 10 300g plain flour 50g granulated sugar 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda ½ tsp salt 2 eggs, lightly beaten 90ml vegetable oil 220g low fat plain yoghurt 170ml full fat milk 2 whole bananas, peeled and mashed 100g chopped pecan nuts n Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a mixing bowl and stir together.
Cinnamon Waffles Makes 10 25g soft light brown sugar 300g plain flour 2 tbsp baking powder ½ tsp baking soda 1 & ½ tsp ground cinnamon ½ tsp salt 390ml skimmed milk 90ml vegetable oil 2 large eggs, lightly beaten n Crumble the brown sugar to remove all lumps and place in a medium mixing bowl with the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
Gluten Free Waffles Makes 10 400g gluten free plain flour 3 tbsp granulated sugar 1 tbsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda ½ tsp salt 400ml skimmed milk 90ml vegetable oil 2 large eggs n Place the ingredients in a large bowl and mix until smooth. Leave the batter to rest for 15 minutes, this is very important.
Savoury Waffles Makes 10 250g plain flour 1 tbsp caster sugar 1 tbsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 425ml full fat milk 115g unsalted butter, melted 3 eggs, lightly beaten n Place the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl.
