  • Page 13 12. Transition Speed Control Button The VMX-1104 supports total speed of 9 steps from 1 through 9. Default is 5 and about 1 second is required from start of transition to end of transition. This is a button to increase or decrease this speed.
  • Page 14 2. The VMX-1104 is developed to enable to use all functions by using a set of buttons even if not using the mouse. However, it is strongly recommended to use a mouse in order to convenient- ly use all functions provided or to utilize merits of the only VMX-1104.

    [Fig. III-1] if connecting a PC monitor supporting the SXGA(1280x1024) to the opera- tor screen output port located in the rear side of the VMX-1104. The user can use all functions of this prod- uct conveniently, familiarly by controlling GUI environment provided to the operation screen with high reso- lution with a mouse or various buttons.

If the relevant channel does not come out or abnormally comes out even after connection of video, check that video-in setup of the Setup Menu is properly done.

Main Menu Area This is main menu including all functions that the VMX-1104 has and allows the user to select desiring menu item at any time as there menu items remain unchanged as shown to the user.     This is PS/2 socket generally used in a PC and located at the far left side when the user viewed the rear side of the VMX-1104 as shown in [Fig. IV-2]. Please connect PS/2 plug of mouse to control the GUI of the VMX-1104 as follow.

    2 channels of S-Video, up to 4 channels of CVBS, up to 2 channels of RGB and up to 2 channels of component are allowed at the same time. To this end, the VMX-1104 provides same pat- tern of output socket to users and we will show example to connect the output 1 channel of S-video and the CVBS output 1 channel.

    You can check output video of the VMX-1104 through the recorder if connecting the SVBS output socket of the VMX-1104 VIDEO OUT to the CVBS input socket of the recorder using dedicated cables for the RCA as shown in [Fig. IV-11].

    The VMX-1104 supports unbalanced audio output 1 channel and headphone output 1 channel as audio output. For the unbalanced audio output, connect the VMX-1104 to the audio input socket of the video device used as shown in [Fig. IV-15]. For the headphone output, connect it for use as [Fig. IV-16].

    9. Power On Turn on power of the VMX-1104 by pressing the top of power switch as shown in [Fig. IV-19] that is located at the front of the VMX-1104 if connecting all necessary equipments for normal drive of the VMX-1104 and supplying power following above steps.

However, the VMX-1104 provides the transition object setup function to ensure that the user can freely use transition function. In other words, the only screen is converted and the audio is not converted during performance of transition function when selecting only the video as transition object.

    Transition Transition The VMX-1104 excludes unnecessary effect to simply increase numbers and collects only effective and prac- tical effects and provides 256 total transition effect patterns and ensures that more than 256 various effects can be embodied by allowing the users to optionally setup transition direction, transition speed, transition object and more than 120 border effects.

    SMART A/V MIXER 3. Setting of Transition Speed Transition speed means time starting transition effect and ending it. The VMX-1104 supports 9 total speeds of 9 steps from 1 through 9. Click the left mouse button with a mouse pointer placed on the transition speed icon as shown in [Fig. V- 7] to increase the transition speed with a mouse, and click the right mouse button to decrease the transi- tion speed.

    Audio of the relevant channel is converted at the same time as the screen is usually converted if perform- ing transition function. But however the VMX-1104 provides setup function so that users can freely use transition function. Namely, performing the transition function enables the screen to be converted but audio not converted when selecting only video as transition object.
