TROUBLESHOOTING

Message Problem
Device not working properly. Software error
It is not possible to start a
new measurement in
forehead mode.
symbol is flashing.
Room temperature above
40.0 °C (104.0 °F).
Room temperature below
10.0 °C (50.0 °F).
(1) In forehead mode:
measurement temperature
above +42.2 °C (108.0 °F)
(2) Surface measurement:
measurement temperature
above +80.0 °C (176.0 °F)
Possible cause
The device is not
yet ready for a new
measurement.
The device has not
been stored in line
with the specified
storage conditions.
The temperature of
the object to be
measured is
outside the
specified
measuring range
(too hot).

Solution
Remove the battery.
Wait one minute and
then insert the battery
back in (see section 3.1).
If the error message
appears again, contact
your retailer.
Wait until the symbol has
stopped flashing and
goes out. When it has
stopped flashing, start
your new measurement.
Put the thermometer in a
room with a temperature
of between 10.0 °C
(50.0 °F) and 40.0 °C
(104.0 °F) for at least 30
minutes.
Take a measurement in
the specified
temperature range.
If the device is still
malfunctioning,
contact your retailer.
