GETTING STARTED
FM RADIO AERIAL
Before using your unit for FM reception, unwrap and fully
extend the aerial wire. In use, you may need to adjust the
position of the aerial wire for maximum signal strength.

CONNECTING POWER

Check that the mains voltage marked on the rating plate
on the back panel is the same as the voltage in your
area.
Plug the mains plug into the wall socket and switch the
mains power on at the wall.
Switch on the main power switch, located on the rear
panel of the unit.
The unit will switch on, set to Standby, and the display will
light.
POWER CONTROL
STANDBY/ON button or
To switch the unit on, press the

The unit will switch on and the display will brighten.
To switch the unit off, press the
STANDBY/ON button or

The unit will switch off and the display will dim.
Auto-standby
If the unit is switched on, but not playing and with no user
operation (for example, if a CD has stopped playing) for 15
minutes, it will automatically set to Standby .
Display brightness
Pressing any button on the font panel or remote control
(except STANDBY/ON) while the unit is set to Standby will
brighten the display momentarily (to read the clock).

SETTING THE CLOCK

The clock is set when the unit is set to Standby.
To set the clock:
Press and
hold the MEM/C-ADJ button.
HOUR will be displayed, with 12 or 24 flashing.
Press the
{ or } button to select your preference of 12
or 24 hour clock display.
MEM/C-ADJ button to confirm this setting.
Press the

correct time.

DISPLAYING THE CLOCK
The clock is displayed when the unit set to Standby.
To display the clock at any other time, press and
MEM/C-ADJ button.
The display will change to 'clock' for a few seconds.

SELECTING A FUNCTION

You can choose from the following functions:
Play music from a docked iPod.
Play from an external source connected to the AUX (Line)
input.
Play FM radio (TUNER).
CD or MP3 disc playback.
Play music files from a USB drive.
Play music files from a Flash card.
To change the function:
Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly to scroll through the
function options listed above.

ADJUSTING THE VOLUME

To increase the volume:
Press the
VOLUME + button.
To decrease the volume:
Press the
VOLUME - button.
To mute the volume:
Press the
MUTE button on the remote control.

To unmute the volume:

The sound from the speakers will return to the last volume level
set.
